I take sound seriously! Here are some highlights of the sound gear in my arsenal -

PSC Alpha MIX portable sound mixer (these are worth their wight in gold. Handmade, no longer available and arguably best in class).

Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun mic (I’ve had this mic for 20 years and it never leaves my sight. You cannot get better sound on location FULL STOP and this mic just feels like it’s alive).

Sony radio lapels URX-P2 & UTX-B2 (these are UHF authentic synthesized transmitter and tuner. They producer a signal that’s so clear due to the banned frequency they use, they are no longer available to the general public).

Naumann TLM 102 diaphragm condenser microphone (great for vocals).

Rode MT1 studio condenser microphone (great voice over/ narration).

Portable SE sound booth (to get rid of room acoustics).

Zoom H4n XLR portable recorder (I know its old. That’s why its so so good).

  • For post-production, colour-grading and sound, I work on a highly-specked Mac and Apple Studio Display along with industry standard sound monitors etc.

  • I edit and colour grade on FCP X. I also utilise various plugins and LUT’s, and am well versed with most Adobe software and other AI tools.
